Charlemagne was one of the multiple subminds of [[Rasputin]] located on [[Mars]]. It was originally believed to be a [[Warmind]] of it's own. However [[Tyra Karn]] discovered that it was in fact a submind of [[Rasputin]] after searching for its vault for a decade. <ref> '''Bungie''', '''[[Destiny 2]]: [[Curse of Osiris]], [[Weblore:Warmind]]: [[Weblore:Warmind#Tyra|Tyra]]''' </ref>. Shortly after the Traveler's reawakening during the [[Red War]], Rasputin would take complete control of Charlemagne's resources so it could fight against the [[Grasp of Nokris]] led by [[Xol, Will of the Thousands]].  

Shortly after retrieving the submind data of [[Malahayati]] and from the [[Mindlab: Submind Kernel|Kernel]], a fireteam would be sent by [[Ana Bray]] and [[Clovis Bray]] to retrieve Charlemagne's data on [[Mars]] from forces of [[Xivu Arath's Horde]], led by [[Kelgorath, Risen from Bones|Darkblade Kelgorath, Risen From Bones]]. The Guardians would succeed, killing Kelgorath and retrieving the data.
