Scission is a location within Essence, the command ship of The Witness. It is the second area of the Pyramid. A team of Guardians would traverse through its ravine in the Root of Nightmares Raid, fighting off the Shadow Legion forces occupying the area.
History
Once the Raid Fireteam slowed Nezarec's heartbeat, the Guardians would have to traverse through the Scission in order to empower the Tree of Silver Wings within the heart of the Pyramid, they would have to deactivate the area's expulsion measures in order to activate the seed of the tree itself.[1]
