The Collapse is a event in human history that nearly brought the species to extinction. Following the Golden Age after mankind had colonized the Sol System, a unknown enemy attacked humanity and pushing it back to its homeworld, Earth. This would had led to humanity's extinction if not the intervention of the Traveler. As the Collapse ended, mankind eventually recovered only to find its former colonies inhabited by new species and enemies. [1]
