Nightmare of the Fanatic: Difference between revisions

Upon reaching the [[Chantry of the Darkest Hour]] within the Pyramid and joining up with [[Empress Caiatl]], you must place the Nightmare Harvester down to begin the final boss fight. You may also place down a Rally Banner if you need to replenish your ammo or abilities. Once the Harvester has been placed, a gigantic projection of Calus's head will emerge from the empty space at the other side arena. The Herald of the Witness will momentarily chastises his daughter, before the Fading Nightmare of the Fanatic arrives and the first encounter begins. Hordes of Scorn will spawn alongside the boss to assist in overpowering you. However, Caiatl will provide fire support from afar with her [[Projection Rifle]]. Once you have whittled down its health a little bit, the Nightmare will summon an shield to protect itself, rendering it invulnerable to all attacks. The player must return to the Harvester to collect the Scythe relic that spawns beside it, which can be used to break the boss's defenses and continue to damage it. After it is down to a quarter of its health, it will create another shield for itself, and you will have to use the Scythe to destroy it again. Upon defeating the Fading Nightmare, the Memory of Uldren will take out a third Calus's health. The projection will then begin to fire large, slow-moving, skull-shaped projectiles from its mouth. The player must take cover beneath the shield dome that Caiatl deploys in order to avoid this attack.
