The Heavy Pike is a variant of the Pike used by the House of Wolves, introduced in patch 1.2.0. It can be found inside one of the caves in the Ember Caves on Venus.
The Heavy Pike has a slower rate of fire than the standard Pike, but fires splash-damage rounds. Also, strafing causes the Pike to fire bouncing Shock Grenades, much like a Skiff.
