- — Tex Mechanica.[1]
Tex Mechanica is a weapon foundry from the Last City who develops weapons in the style of the Wild West.[2]
It is one of the the City's oldest weapon foundries and believed to have been around when the City Wall construction was at its early stage.
History
Early City Age
During the Early City Age Tex Mechanica had the mindset that was widely accepted at the time, survival of the fittest. They made weapons for Guardians to use and would continue for years to come.
Late City Age
Tex Mechanica has been known to involve themselves in shady business dealings, it's mindset is still that of the Early ages. They attempted to bribe Lord Shaxx into fixing Crucible matches to make their weapons look good, but Shaxx threatened them with sending a squad of Titans into their factory at the suggestion. To smooth things out, they shipped him free weapons.[3] They also accepted a substantial bribe from the player in return for getting into the next phase of their shotgun contest.[4]

- The Drifter notes that Tex Mechanica weapons are the most similar to Dark Age weapons out of all currently produced weapons.
- With the release of Dead Man’s Tale, Tex Mechanica have the most exotics available from any foundry, with a total of six.
- All exotic Tex Mechanica weapons, with the exception of Dead Man’s Tale, have at least one ornament with the Tex Mechanica name still engraved, or have a theme indicative of the Old West. However, the emblem "The Next Chapter" that is awarded upon completing Presage flawlessly on Master difficulty bears the logo of Tex Mechanica.
