A Brig is a unique class of war machines used by the Fallen. It was first introduced in the Season of the Forge, through the debut of Insurrection Prime, the Prime Servitor of the Kell's Scourge syndicate, who uses a Massive war-mech to break into the Black Armory on Earth.
They are now currently in use by the House of Salvation, Loyal to Eramis, Kell of Darkness. Their cores seemed to have been replaced by similar Fallen Walker Cores.
History
Origin
At some point, the Kell's Scourge stole technology from the Gofannon Forge on Nessus and integrated it with their own Fallen technology by kitbashing a Walker mech and a Prime Servitor together to create the war machine Insurrection Prime.
Assault of the City
After losing the forge on Nessus to the Guardians, the Kell's Scourge launched an incursion into the Last City. While the city was still recovering from the effects of the Red War, the Scourge occupied a desolate section of the city and unleashed Insurrection Prime to breach into the Black Armory's vault; which the Fallen had outfit their militants with its stolen technology and weapons to have superior combat capabilities. In response, the Vanguard dispatched a fireteam to raid the Scourge's occupied territory, secure the vault, and destroy the war machine.
Beyond Light
Following a few years since Insurrection Prime's appearance and rampage, inferior but mass-produced copies of it began appearing under the banner of Eramis, the newly proclaimed Kell of Darkness. Identified as Brigs, they were sourced from remnants of the Kell’s Scourge syndicate who had joined Eramis’s House Salvation. The majority of these war mechs appear to be smaller versions in comparison to Insurrection Prime. The smaller versions of these war machines are labeled Brigs while the much larger variants - similar in size to Insurrection Prime - are labeled Commodores.
