Season of the Black Swordsman is the eleventh season of Destiny 2, occurring from September 6th, 2022 till December 6th, 2022. It revolves around the union of the Light and Darkness to the Solar System and the rise of a new Fallen house.

Overview

"Following the end of the Shadowkeeper Apocalypse within Auradon, many Guardians and civilians from across countless worlds have begun making reparations to the Tower in the hopes of continuing what Zavala left off. But, the celebration is cut short when mysterious husks of the Pyramid remnants crash into the craters of our world, revealing a long-lost prison deep within the heart of the Traveler and, along with it, a message from the Darkness. At the same time, a Fallen house has reemerged from the outskirts of the Town of Beginnings under the banner of Arveks, the Kell of Rogues who has turned his eyes towards Earth with plans to lay waste to the Cosmodrome and reawaken an old foe. Enter deep within the corridors of Aincrad and discover its lost secrets. Fight alongside Kazuto and Stacia to defend our home and resurrect one of the City's greatest heroes. Stop the Fallen and save the Traveler once more."
