Eventually, the Vex created an [[Axis Mind|Mind]] specifically designed to drain his Light. Though Saint-14 felled the Mind, it succeeded in its mission, mortally wounding the legendary Titan and ~~draining~~ his Light. As he ~~perished from~~ his ~~wounds~~, Saint-14 ~~wrote~~ one last letter to the Last Wolf explaining what had transpired and his regrets over not being able to make the Last City into the thriving city he knew it would become. He gifted them the Perfect Paradox back and recalled how he had sworn to live up to their example, noting that he was still trying to do so even as he died.<ref name="PP"/>
