So in the Gameinformer article, it says that "Humans...are survivors of the Collapse picking up the pieces of civilization. The Awoken also survived the Collapse, but were forever changed; they appear otherwordly and aloof." Does that mean that the Awoken were once human but changed after the Collapse, or that they were a separate race but changed after the Collapse? I’m excited for players to slowly learn and talk about that over time. :::Probably something along the lines of "Focal World(s)," as "Stronghold" suggests something more akin to a structure, and the races have plenty of those (Hive=Hellmouth, humans=City, etc.). It would be more a case of listing what places the race is/was found on. So for Awoken it would be the Reef (primary), and list Earth also. For Hive, it would be the moon (primary) and Earth (per that wizard who came from the moon XD). Given that the game hasn't gone beyond the solar system yet, and probably won't for awhile (if at all), I don't think listing worlds would have too many problems.--Hawki (talk) 22:17, 3 July 2014 (EDT) | |||

Isnt it pretty much confirmed they were once human? I believe it outright says so in the strategy guide, but I think that Xur also makes a comment that makes this almost undeniable at this point. 71.238.243.98 16:02, 19 September 2014 (EDT) |

- I think it's the former, but that's just a guess. The wording is ambiguous. Always use the DMR. This is craZboy557, signing off. 19:25, 7 December 2013 (EST)

So, it’s not just humanity in this city, is that right? There’s some other ally species? I’m not sure what you call them. Is that a fair way to talk about them, or are they part of humanity at this point? And who are they?
