Clear out the Enemy forces by forcing their aggression to escalate towards a showdown.

 

Tidebreak is a Patrol activity is an always active activity. Players are tasked with patrolling the area and forcing one of the enemy forces to escalate their aggression in the area on purpose. Once the aggression has reached a fever pitch the enemy will send a commander to crush opposition, destroying this commander will force the enemies to withdraw for a time.

Gameplay[edit]

When a player loads into or enters a location with two faction or enemy races fighting each other, they will be given dialogue indicating that enemy presence is surging in the area. Here, players must complete smaller Public Event activities, complete Priority objectives and loot stockpile chests, along collect Destination materials in order to progress the activity forward. Tidebreak is divided into 4 stages in game, with the first 2 stages being the "Preparation" phase in which players must complete the objectives listed before, Stage 3 is "Escalation" Phase. It takes 1000 points to progress each stage of Tidebreak. Once these 3 stages have been completed, a Showdown phase will occur, with an Ultra enemy spawning in a designated location within the area. Here the Boss's health is divided into 3 phases, with boss mechanics staying the same across each of the area's 3 bosses that rotate between each Tidebreak. Once a boss has been defeated, an intermission period around 4-5 minutes will start before the next Tidebreak in the area starts.

  • Extracting Materials - 15 points
  • Opening chests - 25 points
  • Defeating High-Value Targets - 100 points
  • Completing World events - 250 points
  • Defeating Priority targets - 250 points
  • Completing Tidebreak encounters or Public Events - 450 points
