This contrasts with Archon's Forge and Destiny 2 Public Event activities like Escalation Protocol, Blind Well, Altars of Sorrow, Terminal Overload etc. They focused on the activity itself on their respective pages on the entirety and keep lore at a minimum. Does the Court of Oryx have Hive lieutenants?[edit]

I've been wondering lately because of how I'm hearing about first stopping Oryx's lieutenants and daughters before facing the Taken King himself in the King's Fall raid. Could the Court of Oryx's Hive have one of Oryx's lieutenants? Titan66 (talk) 21:44, 10 October 2015 (EDT)

I think the Grimoire says that all of the Court of Oryx bosses are some of Oryx's lieutenants. By killing them we weaken Oryx because Oryx relies on them, out of all of the Hive, to provide him with the largest tithes of power to feed his Worm. MorningWalker (talk) 22:04, 10 October 2015 (EDT)

Article split proposal[edit]

Hey, I was wondering if its ok for to split the article into two separate pages for the in-lore group/throne world and the Public Event activity of the same name on the Dreadnaught? 76.105.108.209 19:35, July 8, 2024 (EDT)

We already have a page for the Dreadnaught and the Court of Oryx, we really don’t need a separate page because two pages already exist for them. stickTheTrueSorrowMaker (contribs) 20:09, July 8, 2024 (EDT)

Proposal is only to address article creep on the current page.76.105.108.209 20:20, July 8, 2024 (EDT)
Oryx’s throne world is called the High War. His “Court” refers to the Ascendant Hive we kill in the activity of the same name. That being said, I don’t think a page split is entirely necessary, though I’m curious; what sort of “article creep” are you referring to? —stickΔαντε τηε Γηοστ Ι ωονδερ ιφ Ικορα γιϝες ηυγς το Γηοστσ. Basically you have the content from the lore itself from the top half of the page intermixed with the logistical aspect of the activity (i.e. the gameplay mechanics/enemies and bosses/reward loot pool) at the bottom half and the article suddenly looks cluttered as it struggles between both subjects of the lore and the activity itself. This is an issue with having two equally related but separate subjects (lore and in-game activity) clashing with each other for relevance on the same page; Having lore content focused at the top half of the current page diminishes readability of the bottom half with the gameplay section of the activity itself.

Just got an idea, the Court of Oryx page could a tabbed infobox, one for the Public Event infobox (which can be in any order) with its own separate tab for a Faction infobox that’s supplemental to the greater Blood of Oryx enemy faction; similar to how Shadows of Calus are for Loyalists and Disciples of the Witness with The Dread.
