"You are an Acolyte. Half-grown backbone of the Hive. Cunning and ambitious and crushed beneath your mighty rulers. [...] You hide behind cover and wish for greatness. Glory escapes you. You need help. There is a knife for you. It is shaped like [not alone]. Take up the knife. Call on its company. Take your new shape."
Grimoire description

The Taken Acolyte is a type of Taken Hive.

Gameplay[edit]

The main difference they have from their Acolyte counterpart is the ability to deploy Acolyte's Eye turrets. Their Shredders deal Arc damage, but the bolts travel in an arc. They are more aggressive than their ordinary counterparts and do not utilize cover, but move slower. If one can weather the hail of fire they can put out though, they can be killed easily.
