The Eyes of Xivu Arath are Elite Taken Captains of Xivu Arath's Horde. They were first encountered in Season of the Lost's Astral Alignment, where they functioned much like the Eye of Riven from the Last Wish raid, leaving behind Taken Essence when defeated, which is necessary to complete the encounter. They reappeared during Season of the Deep, where they are simply powerful enemies looking to twarth the Guardians.
