"In [the Gift Mast's] light live the Harmony, and they are now our prey."
— The Books of Sorrow, entry XLVI: The Gift Mast[1]

The Gift Mast was a megastructure built by the Traveler around the black hole at the center of the Harmony's star system. Filled with the Light of the Traveler, the Mast was described as constantly singing in radiance with a "radio lullaby", and beamed with silver light. The Harmony also weaponized the structure to be able to bend the black hole's accretion disk to fire relativistic plasma jets, called a "Sting".[1]

The radiance of the Mast attracted the Hive into the system — who were following in the wake of the Deep as it pursued the Traveler[2] — and the three god siblings swore to destroy and feast upon it.[3] The armies of all three Hive Gods engaged the Harmony in a centuries-long war, which ended with Oryx's destruction of the Mast. The God King offered the majority of the remains of the Gift Mast to his armies so they could devour and gain power from the Light stored within.[1]

It is uncertain if Oryx ever learned the location of the Gift Mast through the Nicha Thought-ship, as it turned out to be a Vex trap.[4]
