Taken or Hive?

Is Vessel of Oryx a regular Hive knight or Taken knight? Personally he looks like a regular Hive knight but anyone got any other evidence to prove what he is???—This unsigned comment was made by Titan66 (talk • contribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

The only way to tell for sure (that I know of) is to fight one in the raid and let it kill you. It'll say under the enemy's name in upper right corner of the kill-cam what its faction is. If it says Taken, then it's Taken. If it says Hidden Swarm or any the other three Hive sects, then it's Hive. If it's blank (which happens with certain enemies, mostly bosses; Oryx himself lacks a faction in the raid even though we know he's Hive), we'll have to make a judgment call. This is a question we may not learn the answer to for a while; I'm in no position to raid yet, and I don't know if anyone else is going to go out of their way to find this out because it's such a trivial detail and no one wants to wipe in a raid on purpose. Okay since we finished King's Fall raid what's the final verdict on what the Vessel of Oryx really is a Hive or Taken???

They're a Hive Knight Titan. They're clearly Hive as they have chitin on them, they use an arc boomer instead of a solar one that Taken Knights use, and they have the Hive death animation instead of the Taken animation. ---Virgil the Ghost
