Overcharge Shanks are a variant of Exploder Shanks. They can be distinguished by the copious amounts of electricity flowing across their chassis.
History[edit]
Overcharge Shanks are first encountered as part of the crew of Thaviks, the Depraved, who modified Shanks using technology from the Exodus Black's sensor grid.[1] These modifications would later be employed in the Overcharged Shanks of the Kell's Scourge, in defense of the Lost Forges[2][3]. They were also utilized by House of Salvation in the reworked version of Exodus Crash, used for the same purposes under Pykis, House Salvation.
Gameplay[edit]
Overcharge Shanks differ from normal Exploder Shanks in their behavior. Instead of rushing towards an enemy to immolate themselves, they will fly over to specific sections of the floor, recognizable by the patterns of cables running over them. Once there, they will hover in place, electrifying the floor and slowing, damaging and preventing players from jumping. Destroying the shank will stop the effect, although it is dangerous to do so while on the plate as the player is likely to be caught in their explosions.
