Jaliks, Fallen Captain[1] is a unique Captain that features as the main boss of the Story Mission Six on Nessus.

Gameplay

Jaliks will first be seen attacking Failsafe's defenses alongside other Fallen. They will turn their attention toward the player should they be interrupted, and start blasting away at them with their Molten Welder. However, they won't be staying in one place for long. They will sometimes teleport very long distances and attack from different locations. Unlike other giant Captains, they are equipped with an Arc shield for extra defense, with a high health count as well. Breaking their shield with Arc damage will momentarily stun Jaliks, making them an easier target.

Trivia

  • Jaliks is one of the few Ultras to be outfitted with an elemental shield.
  • Even though Jaliks is armed with a Molten Welder, they will drop a Scorch Cannon upon death.
  • Jaliks is the only Boss in Destiny 2 that dies in the year one Destiny way of melting away in a flurry of orange fire.
