The Sivian invaded this system attempting to conquer the Primeval. But as their fleets reached the heliopause frontier, Primeval perimeter militias went out to fight them. The Sivian fell into deadlock. In response, the Sivian launched a staggering counterattack using biopathogenic weapons to blight the Primeval worlds, which became tainted with death. Their worlds ravaged, the Primeval would survive by turning to new bodies in the form of machines called the Cognitive.
