Androids
The Androids are the children of the Empirical Era, sprung from the brow of mankind's finest cognitive science and AI engineering. Built as incarnations of the highest human virtue, they could do no harm to humanity or its future.
Centuries later, however, the Androids have driven us to the edge of extinction — their systems corrupted by the First Mind.
To the machines, we are a blight. In order for their perfect empire to blossom, our species must die.
