The Cabal Shield is used by Cabal Phalanxes to form the walls on the battlefront. They are fully immune to conventional weapons, and can withstand a Golden Gun's shot, making the Phalanx only stagger. In addition, they can also be used as a melee weapon with two different attacks. The first attack is a simple swing for close-range. The second attack is a devastating lunge that can kill Guardians in one hit as well as send enemies flying.
These defensive shields are connected to the Cabal Battle Network, allowing Phalanx units to coordinate, and may also record enemy weaponry strength upon impact.
The Red Legion employs energy variants of the Cabal shield that have the ability to expand themselves to cover several troops.
Grimoire Description
Built to the same spec as Cabal hull plating, this tactical shield is nearly indestructible to conventional weapons. It has integrated sensors that relay information not only to the shield bearer but also the Cabal battle network, allowing nearby units to coordinate more effectively.[1]
Trivia
- Two shields can be found inside the Tower alongside a collection of other Cabal and Fallen weaponry.
- The Cabal Empire developed advanced, energy variants of the shield, evident by the Red Legion.
