- — Grimoire Description
Archons are high priests of the Fallen, who act as the intermediary between the Kell and the Prime Servitor of each House.[1]
Overview
Archons are part of the triumvirate leadership of a Fallen House, and serve the Primer Servitor; they are possible equals or even superiors to Kells.[2] If the Archon falls, that House's Prime Servitor becomes vulnerable to attack.[3] They lead an entire priesthood of Archons,[4] while within is a secret cabal called Splicers that pushes the boundaries of Fallen physiology,[5] and can be at ideological odds with the traditional Archons.[6]
Gameplay
Archons fight like Captains, including their Blink ability and ranged weapon (i.e. Shrapnel Launcher), except they have an "Ultra Smash" ability that they use against Guardians who get too close. This attack can be enough to kill a Guardian, or knock them back and severely damage them.[7] In addition, they have a far higher damage tolerance than normal Captains do.
