Crows are members of the Reef's intelligence network, led by Prince Uldren Sov, who holds the title "Master of Crows". They act as the Queen's spies, gathering intelligence on subjects of interest to (and threats against) the Reef[1][2], as well as covert messengers and emissaries to her allies. They employ all manner of equipment in carrying out their duties, including the ubiquitous monitoring devices of the same name[3] as well as an elite fighter wing for use in precision strikes against entrenched enemy positions, where overwhelming firepower is preferred to avoid excessive Awoken casualties.[4] They also modify captured enemy technology for use by Her Majesty's forces[5].
