The Cult of Unmaking serves as personal enforcers and "evokers of suffering" and "pain bringers" for Shin'ra. They were first conceived by Zâtrox to serve as his enforcers, only for Shin'ra to enlist [[Forum:Storgor, the Great Shatterer|Storgor]] as its commander instead of Zâtrox. While a recent member, [[Forum:Xurgen, Scourge of Io|Xurgen]] is most notable for capturing straggling Vex, Cabal and Taken from Io and torturing them for info on the whereabouts of Savathûn following her [[Interference|interference]]. [[Forum:Vorgûth, the All Devourer|Vorgûth]] is notable for eating the convicted and siphoning their life force, making them suffer long and painful deaths. [[Forum:Ir Mazleth, the Unholy Silence|Ir Mazleth]] is notable for singing the most painful of liturgies without the need of an entire choir to destroy mortal minds. Storgor is most notable for being a veteran to bringing pain and suffering onto others and even onto himself. They are only ever deployed on the field in certain scenarios of "utter importance." One such instance would be the protection of the [[Forum:Temple of Exultation (location)|Temple of Exultation]] on [[Io]] which Shin'ra sought to use the [[Tree of Silver Wings (Io)|Ionian Tree]] to enhance the brood's power through the reshaping power of [[Darkness|Resonance]] and terraforming properties of the [[Light]].
