Asphodelia are a species of red flower native to the Black Garden. The Ancient Past[edit]
It is unknown where Asphodelia first originated; they were first discovered by the Awoken after the Collapse when Uldren Sov and Jolyon Till entered the Black Garden.[7] However, ancient records deciphered by Eido indicate that the plants were also known to the precursor species which later became the Witness. One individual from this species, known by the identifier "HNW047622", brought Asphodelia cuttings with them to a barren world that they planned to terraform, with the intent to later harvest the flowers to make a panacea.[8]
Post-Collapse[edit]
Asphodelia were introduced to the Dreaming City by Uldren Sov following his exploration of the Black Garden alongside Jolyon Till.[7] They have since lost the vivid red color of their ancestors in the Black Garden.[9]
