Ulysses Qiao[1] was a human taikonaut and part of the Ares One mission, the first manned spaceflight to Mars. Qiao, along with fellow astronauts Jacob Hardy and M. Mihaylova, would make first contact with the Traveler, beginning the Golden Age of Humanity.[2][3]
