The Strider, also known by her real name Mikaela Julaha, was the first Cloud Strider to defend Neomuna.

Biography

Becoming The Strider

Prior to becoming the Strider, Mikaela was an ordinary Neomuni citizen; at some point during her adult life, she married and had a daughter named Amma. Some time later, she experienced an accident which resulted in her becoming infused with a colony of nanites, resulting in her developing extraordinary strength, endurance and regeneration abilities. She went on to use her abilities to protect the people of her city, and became renowned as a hero.

However, Mikaela's nanotechnological augments put excessive stress on her physiology, resulting in microscarring across her kidneys, heart, liver, spleen, and brain. During a medical checkup seven years after her augmentation, she was notified that she had less than a year to live. Before she died, she created a device known as the Sidereal, which would allow other Neomuni to follow in her footsteps and receive the same augments she had, voluntarily sacrificing their longevity in order to serve as protectors of Neomuna. Mikaela would later become known as "The Strider", the first in a line of augmented defenders known as Cloud Striders.
