PDT Refraction Cores are Warmind-manufactured laser weapons encountered during Heist Battlegrounds. They are deployed at various areas of the missions to rid the Fireteam of Hive obstacles.
Gameplay[edit]
As a Relic weapon, wielding a PDT Refraction Core moves the user's camera to third person. They cannot use Melees, and Class Abilities make the core drop. Using the "fire" button makes the Core shoot a powerful Solar beam, which can deal high damage and is the only way to destroy Hive Runes and other obstacles in the activity. PDT Refraction Cores are spawned at specific plates, often blocked by groups of enemies, and will soon reappear after they are exhausted.
