Encountered Lord Shaxx |
Runa is an Awoken girl living in the Last City on Earth. She and a friend, Lonwabo, were excluded from the dodgeball games of other children and hung out in a corner until Lord Shaxx came over to them.[1]
Taking them in hand, Shaxx set them against numerous teams until they lost. He then taught them that defeat was a better teacher than victory, but that victory was also what mattered. When Cayde came to fetch him, Runa took advantage of Cayde's distractedness and threw a ball at him, much to his bewilderment when he couldn't pinpoint the source. She raised her fist in a Titan salute to Shaxx as he returned to the Tower.[2]
Around the time of the Dawning, Runa and a group of other children listened to Kasim's story about Mr. Kringle, a mysterious man who visits the homes of good children every Dawning and leaves presents. The children began questioning the story, asking how Kringle could fit into the chimney and whether he is a Guardian or immune to fire. Kasim eventually gave up when they realised the children were rather terrified by the story, with Matsuko even starting to cry. As they departed, Runa reassured Matsuko there was nothing to worry about as lord Shaxx would stop the Kringle.[3]
