Biography[edit]

Kanmu was assigned by the Vanguard to escort several Cryptarchs on a research mission between several planets. During her mission, she noted that the group of scholars tended to have the same conversations over and over, to the point that she could pantomime them in the cockpit of her jumpship while listening to them in the back. During their return to The Last City on Earth, Kanmu was surprised when one of the Cryptarchs did not begin laughing as they normally did, but was instead making choking noises. Hurrying back to her passengers, she quickly preformed the Heimlich maneuver on the scholar, taking care not to crush him with her Guardian strength. He coughed up a piece of hard candy, causing Kanmu to laugh in relief and amusement. However, when she returned to the cockpit she spotted a Cabal missile heading for their ship and desperately tried to retake control of the ship and enact evasive maneuvers, but did not have enough time, resulting in the destruction of the jumpship and death of Kanmu and the Cryptarchs.[1]
