According to Fallen legend, Chelchis and the House of Stone held off the Hive in order for the other houses to escape Riis. The Fallen still revere Chelchis in their songs.[1][2] From artifact and weapon descriptions, it can be assumed that Chelchis was killed by Oryx, the Taken King himself and in her last moments, called out in vain for the Traveler, only to be crushed by the power of the Taken King.
