The Dredge function similarly to Hive [[Acolyte]]s, commonly hiding behind cover and occasionally pop out to target enemies with their {{icon|Void}} Cascading Mandolin, which serves as a burst fire rifle that can track targets. Dredges are not moderately armored due to them serving as standard infantry amongst the Dread like [[Weaver]]s and [[Attendant]]s. Dredges are highly maneuverable but deadly in large groups because of this. Dredges serve as standard infantry units within the Dread created from transformed Hive, created by Shin'ra from the usage of the Echo of Conquests.
