Mei lived in Patch Run with her daughter Lin and granddaughter. After hearing of the Last City, they set course from Veruna but eventually Mei told them to go ahead as she was slowing them down. At one point, she found a vending machine and gathered as much food as she could carry, but it ran out after a few miles. It began to rain acid so she waited inside a building before continuing. However, she coughed and alerted Fallen in the building of her presence. She backed up against a wall and drew her plasteel shiv as five Fallen charged.
