Biography
When Calus invaded the homeworld of the Clipse, he sent Valus Nohr to lead the war effort by invading the moon Kaga-Clipse.[1] Near the climax of the war between Calus and the Clipse, Rull was a part of a team that was to storm the Leviathan. In the end, he was the only one to make it to the throne room alive where the Emperor casually offered him refreshment and alliance.[2] Rull accepted but was forced to sign an agreement in which he selected a fraction of the Clipse population to be given manufactured archologies to live in and be free from the hundred years of strife that had engulfed their homeworld. However, the rest of the Clipse were exterminated by the captured guns of Kaga-Clipse, rendering their homeworld uninhabitable.[1]
Rull's first assignment as a Shadow was to go to Torobatl to kill Iska'al of Fantor. He was given fine wines for him to barter his way into a celebration being orchestrated by Aedile Moli Imoli.[3] After later finding Iska's estate and bribing the guards to enter by allowing them some of his wine, Rull soon spotted Iska'al. After skewering the guards with his staff, Rull grabbed a bottle of wine and began pouring it down the old Cabal's throat, drowning him. As Iska'al helplessly flailed, Rull relayed a message from Calus that he hadn't forgotten Iska'al. Not long after, Moli Imoli entered the courtyard.[4] Rull, seeing an opportunity to take out two targets in one fell swoop, fired a harpoon from his staff into Moli's flank. In a blind and pained panic, Moli charged into the streets, dragging Rull with him. As citizens watched either dumbstruck or unsure of what to do, Moli eventually collapsed at the feet of Dominus Ghaul. Realizing he had a choice of escape or finishing the job, Rull pierced Moli's neck with his spear and had enough time to remove his helmet and smile at the Dominus before he was killed.[5]
