As the Legionaries walked across the hull of the Dreadnaught, some wondered why they were even here. I mean, the Taken King was dead, as was their leaders. They had no reason to stay. Two of the Legionaries in particular planned to steal a Harvester and abandon the Legion. They stayed in the back of the group, whispering to each other about their plan. “We need to leave, today.” Ar’nin whispered. “Why, they have the hanger locked down, Val’s orders.” Rath’hil whispered back. “Something’s up, I can feel it in my gut. I have a new plan.” Ar’nin whispered back. “A new one! After all we worked on the first one.” Rath’hil hissed. “Yeah, do you want to get out of here or not?” Ar’nin asked, rhetorically. “Alright, what’s the plan now.” Rath responded. “Grunts, listen up!” The Legionary at the front of the group shouted. “The mission is simple, we are searching for a hive artifact that possibly has light-nullifying technology.” He shouted. “Your mission is to find and secure the artifact. If needed, a harvester will come around the side for extraction or to bring reinforcements. This mission is no-nonsense, and everyone needs to be prepared. Weapons hot, troops.” The Legionaries saluted and continued into the pits of the Dreadnaught. The area began getting darker as they continued down so some flicked flashlights on. “So…my plan is that we impersonate the Val.” Ar’rin whispered as they entered the dark halls. “What!” Rath hissed. “That’s madness!” Ar’rin shrugged. “Do you have a better idea?” Ar’rin replied. “Yes. Yes I do, we use the original plan.” As they were talking, they failed to notice the group getting farther and farther ahead of them until they were alone. “Where did they…now’s our chance, we can go back to the ship and enact our plan. Especially with most of the troops out on patrol, this will be simple.” Rath sighed. “We should just stay, leaving isn’t a good idea. And personally, I’d rather be killed by some Hive than get caught mutinying by command.” Ar’rin sighed. Then he shot Rath’hil in the foot. “WHAT THE HELL!” Rath’hil roared. “YOU GOD DAMN-“ He was cut off by a gun shot as Ar’rin executed his once friend. He wouldn’t have a loose end, and he didn’t like Rath very much anyways. | As the Legionaries walked across the hull of the Dreadnaught, some wondered why they were even here.
