(Gonna change this, since I believe the Vex need a bit more Strikes. And I do mean Strikes. Not just happenstance encounters in the end of it (Glassway, Inverted Spire).) |

Pathetos, the Witnessed Mind is a massive Taken Hydra deployed by a mysterious force, eventually revealed to be The Witness, to hijack the Vex network in an effort to spread their influence across the Vex Machine worlds. It is one of two bosses that can be encountered in the remastered Nexus Strike for Destiny 2.
During the Final Shape, the Witnessed Mind would, once again, show up to menace the Nexus in order to subvert the Vex, in addition to opening the way for and ensuring the Final Shape afflicts all the Vex as well, only for it to, once more, be slain by a Guardian Strike team.
Gameplay
Much like it's predecessor, Pathetos will remain in the center of the arena, but will maneuver around to get a better angle at any Guardians in cover, and it's Taken Aeon Maul fires slower, but deals significant blighted Solar damage instead of Void. On top of its newer capabilities, Pathetos is also capable of firing off Darkness Bolts at its adversaries. Nonetheless, Pathetos also incorporates the Subverted Mind's mechanics of utilizing the Aegis's Super attack to bring down its immune Vex Shield. However, uniquely, indicated by an animation similar to the Templar's Ritual of Negation animation, Pathetos will trap all players in a Detainment bubble and slowly damage them with the Suppression Field debuff, which can easily be escaped from, however, will leave prisoners possibly exposed to ambushing Taken reinforcements. Additionally, Pathetos will also respawn explosive Defensive Wards, debilitating Blight Spheres and Acolytes Eyes to keep its opponents on their toes (number spawned and respawn frequency is dialed down on higher difficulties).
