Flagellants are special Dreg units loyal to the Talons of the Watcher. Empowered by weapons and equipment from the Black Fleet, these choice dregs are units trained and groomed to be transformed into other Dread units created by Skira.
Overview
Although similar in both tactics and gameplay as a Dreg, these special units are distinguished from their peers by their resistance, unique helmets, reddish gear and pyramidal jewelry such as armbands, bangles and armor. Additionally, these units are equipped with 
Transitory Lances instead of their usual weapons and their standard Shock Grenades are replaced with Vicious Dissonance blasts.
