Insight Psions are a variant of Taken Psions responsible for maintaining the barrier blocking the Refraction's entrance through the use of conduits.

Gameplay

The Insight Psion's are encountered shortly after the Guardian discovers the conduits. Each conduit has a ray of resonance, marking the correct placement where the conduit's hand is meant to be placed. When the Guardian slays an Insight Psion, they will obtain the buff known as Psionic Insight, which lasts for 19 seconds and allows them to move the hand on the conduit, either clockwise or counterclockwise. The amount of Psions slain by the Guardian will determine how many times the hand will be moved. Although the first conduit must only be deactivated once, the second and third must be deactivated both two and three times respectively, with the resonance ray changing to a new position once the hand is correctly placed. Once all three conduits are deactivated, the Guardian must return to the cave entrance where they will be confronted by the Pillar of Denial.
