- "You can pull more Fallen blades and bullets out of her chassis than Shaxx's armor, but she keeps coming back."
- — Human technician[1]
Dahlia 99-40 is a personal combat frame belonging to Lord Shaxx, and a senior member of the Redjacks. Over the course of her service, she has been tasked with scouting and securing many potential sites for use in the Crucible and the Sparrow Racing League. Since her activation, Dahlia has participated in over forty combat missions[2], numbers not uncommon with her close counterpart, Arcite 99-40.
Biography[edit]
Dahlia 99-40 was brought online around the same time as Arcite 99-40[3], concurrent with the construction of the city walls[4]. Her service is storied, having been a part of the liberation of numerous Crucible arenas. When Arcite was pulled from active duty, it was questioned as to why it wasn't Dahlia, given her extensive knowledge of the gear manufactured by the foundries of the Last City[5].
After the Cabal were expelled from the Last City with the conclusion of Dominus Ghaul's demise, Dahlia maintained a vague presence on the ramparts of the city's wall, and collaborated on the modifications of a single frame with Arcite 99-40[6]. The purpose of which has yet to be revealed.
Personality and traits[edit]
- "Maybe we should give her Alpha permissions, let her call formations."
"Give it another week. If she comes back, we'll give it a shot." - — Human technicians[7]
Dahlia is a senior frame. Her combat expertise is so vast that many have started to consider giving her the authority to organize combat tactics[8]. It's also worth noting that the only frame capable of syncing combat data with her is Arcite[9], with newer frames excluded from such success[10].
Alongside the fact that she is a very capable combatant, Dahlia is also a very adept technician, being fluent with most, if not all of the gear designed and distributed by the Last City's foundries[11].
Quotes[edit]
- "I might do that. Or I might explode."
Trivia[edit]
- Dahlia is also known under the designation of "Unit 07", a number made significant within the Bungie community by the developers themselves.
