Strain is a Ghost who was partnered with Cyrell after he found him in an unconnected Vex valley on Mercury. Excited to find a potential Guardian, he didn't notice how conflicted Cyrell was. Cyrell beleived he had fought his last battle, but refused to kill Strain or himself, eventually leading to them going their seperate ways. Years later, Strain would find him again, wearing a chain of dead Ghost shells.
