Abstract Gate Lords are large Vex Minotaurs, as well as a variant of the Gate Lord subtype. They take part in the invasion of the Bray Exoscience facility, in attempt to destroy the Clovis Bray AI and steal the unforged remnants of the Lament Exotic Sword.[1]
Gameplay[edit]
A pair of Abstract Gate Lords are encountered in the Creation area—where the Clovis Bray AI is located—at the end of the Reforging the Past Mission. After you have acquired the newly-reforged Lament, the Vex will begin spawning in droves once again. Heavy Ammo crates will spawn at the left, right and center of the room, allowing you to make the most of the sword and wipe out the intruders. After killing enough enemies, the two Gate Lords will arrive, spawning on both sides of the AI head. They are both equipped with Torch Hammers, and will bombard the player with powerful Void projectiles from their weapons, as the surrounding Vex will try to overwhelm you with their numbers and firepower. They can also stomp the ground if you get too close to them. Regardless of this, however, you should be able to make short work of the Minotaurs with your new weapon, especially when using its rev ability to unleash stronger attacks. After the two Gate Lords and the remaining Vex have been taken care of, the mission will be complete.
