Ir Halak, Deathsinger is one of Oryx, the Taken King's two daughters, created after Oryx cut a larvae in half. Together with her twin sister Ir Anûk, Deathsinger, she is encountered in the King's Fall Raid in Threshold.
The Deathsinger sisters are first encountered in Last Rites, when the player is infiltrating Crota's death ceremony. They are found next to Crota's tomb and have to be avoided.
Trivia
- Ir Halak's Grimoire card can only be obtained by killing her in the Last Rites mission on the Moon. It does not unlock in the King's Fall Raid.
- The second part of Ir Halak's name has two possible translations. The first is "Halak" translates to the Arabian word هلاك, which means destruction.[1] The second is that "Halak" is both the name of a mountain mentioned in the Bible (Joshua 11:17, 12:7) and related to the adjective חלק (halaq), meaning smooth, from the verb חלק (halaq II), meaning to be smooth or slippery.[2] The majority of Biblical translations posits it as a proper name.
