Brood Queen: Difference between revisions

From Destinypedia, the Destiny wiki

(Why only Savathun’s Hive? Wouldn’t it make sense that these sects would have Brood Queens too? Ghost even says as much. Especially the Blood of Oryx, since In Ananh was part of Oryx’s fleet when he arrived in the system.)

Brood Queens are unique, and extremely rare and high-ranking Hive Wizards that are charged with spawning more Hive.

Overview[edit]

Brood Queens are special variants of Wizards that are responsible for birthing entire legions of Hive. As a result of their important role, Brood Queens are so well hidden and protected that reports of expeditions and missions launched into the Hellmouth on the Moon don't even mention them.

The first Brood Queen ever encountered, In Anânh, was larger and looked noticeably different from other Wizards; possessing a large abdomen with bony protrusions that ended with a tail.

Brood Queens are a superior form of a Wizard than their Brood Mother lesser. It is unknown what connection the two forms have to each other.

Known Brood Queens[edit]

Trivia[edit]

  • The Brood Queen is the second unique form of the Hive Wizard to be encountered by Guardians. The Deathsinger was the first.
  • Multiple Wrathborn Wizards use the same model as In Anânh, but have not been confirmed to be Brood Queens.
