The Golden War was a conflict between the Coalition, the Cabal's Golden Legion and the Hive brood of the Weavers of Sorrow. Hive forces of the Weavers contest for territory in the Dreaming City while the Golden Legion set up blockades in the Reef to keep the Hive at bay.
