Processes and Services is a location within the Dreaming City. It was the place Queen Mara Sov's Techeuns went to conduct research on Oryx's Taken, allowing them to craft items known as Desolates imbued with Taken power.
Following the Taken War, Illyn, Portia, Nascia and Lissyl convened at Processes and Services to study a captured Taken Vandal. While linking with the creature's mind, Portia made the fatal mistake of wishing for things to return to the way they were before Oryx's arrival, attracting the attention of Riven, who attacked and presumably killed the Techeuns.[1][2]
