The Bathypelagic Midnight is an area underneath the methane seas of Titan, between 1000 and 3500 meters of depth. Most of it consists of tunnels and structures submerged in crushing methane, though a large open area with sustainable pressure can be reached.
History
The Guardian initially visited the Bathypelagic Midnight on the trail of a missing Fireteam, which was found dead at this depth. They continued their operation and successfully extracted the Egregore coral they were seeking.
Several other Fireteams would launch expeditions at this depth to recover Golden Age materials and more patches of Egregore coral over several weeks, battling the forces of Xivu Arath, God of War.
The forces of the God of War would eventually trap the proto-Worm Ahsa, requiring the Young Wolf to pass through the Midnight again to rescue her.
