Battlegrounds are a three-player arena matchmaking activity format, similar to strikes, that were first introduced with the original battlegrounds activity, released in Season of the Chosen. Each variation follows certain story elements and objectives relevant to the season in which it was released.

- Heist Battlegrounds, introduced in Season of the Seraph.
