Reef Space Station Amestris is an Awoken space station in the Reef. It was attacked by the Aphelion while under construction, resulting in the apparent deaths of all individuals living aboard. A total of six distress calls were sent by various inhabitants of the Amestris, among them Namqi Sen, who broadcast a message to Orin.[1] Its transcript was kept in a Gensym lab on Bamberga, along with other documents regarding Aphelion sightings.[2]
Subsequent investigation by a Reef fleet revealed that the hull of the Amestris was heavily contaminated with radioactive material, but that no other signs of hostile activity were apparent. The Amestris was ultimately moved beyond the Reef and abandoned.[1]
