Knight Echoes are simulated Taken Knights seen in the Prophecy Dungeon, where they are seen holding onto the light/dark Motes used to open the way deeper into the Nine's realm or to weaken their simulated champions.
When Beyond Light released, many uniquely titled enemies were replaced by normal Elite or Major named enemies. The Knight Echo was no exception, and was replaced by Ravenous Taken Knights, which carries the same functions as a Knight Echo.
