Molten Welders are Fallen-made rocket launchers that are mostly used by Captains and stronger units of Dregs and Vandals. They function similarly to a Scorch Cannon, except that they lack the detonation trigger ability, and their projectiles travel faster and follow an arc.
Gameplay
Fallen who use Molten Welders tend to be less confrontational than other Fallen wielding different weapons, tending to stay back and using the Molten Welder's arc attribute to to allow to attack from behind cover. However Ultra Captains who wield this weapons rarely retreat, tending to stay in the middle of their squads.
Trivia
- The molten welder has a similar appearance to The Last Rebellion, a Fallen Rocket launcher, given by Variks, The Loyal, in Destiny's House of Wolves (expansion).
